Awards

Students who enter the Alaska Science and Engineering Fair (ASEF) have the opportunity to win a wide range of awards.

International Science an Engineering Fair

As an International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)-affiliated fair, high school students compete for local and national awards and prizes. This includes the top award: a trip to ISEF, at which students compete for approximately $4 million in scholarships and prizes. Middle school and elementary students at ASEF are eligible for local and national awards and prizes.

Project Ribbons

Each student will receive a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place ribbon. Placements are determined based on a judging rubric. It is possible to have multiple awards, or no awards, at each award level. View the judging rubrics to see how projects will be scored.
