Awards Ceremony
The Alaska Science & Engineering Fair Awards Ceremony is on the day after the judging portion of the Fair.
Students who are to receive an award at the ceremony are notified by a notice on their displays. A first place ribbon does not necessarily mean that the student will receive an award at the ceremony.
All students are encouraged to attend the awards ceremony. The ceremony includes a keynote speaker who talks about some aspect of science or science education, followed by the distribution of awards. It’s exciting to see so many students receive their well-deserved awards!
Awards that are not picked up at the ceremony are collected and sent to the schools or home school addresses. If you are not able to make it to the ceremony, and you would like to know when your award will arrive, please contact us.
