About the Alaska Science & Engineering Fair
The Alaska Science and Engineering Fair (ASEF) is an ISEF-Affiliated science fair that is run by a nonprofit organization with a board of directors.
Grade K-12 students throughout Alaska are invited to enter a science, engineering, computer science, or mathematics project in the fair. It is not necessary to win or even participate in a local school fair before entering the state-wide ASEF. Every K-12 student from Alaska is welcome!
There are many local and national prizes for all age groups at the fair. Senior High students, don’t forget to do your paperwork first so that you can be eligible for the grand prizes. The senior high grand prize winners will have their expenses paid to attend the international ISEF competition.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Alaska Science & Engineering Fair is to promote interest, exploration, and excellence in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through an annual, structured, and open research competition for Alaskan students in grades K through 12.
