Sponsor or Donate
There are several ways for companies, organizations, and individuals and to support the Alaska Science & Engineering Fair event. Contact the Science Fair Committee for more information about the following options:
- Donate funds for general operation. Your organization’s name will appear in the Awards Program and on this website. .
- Donate funds earmarked for a special purpose. An example would be a donation of airfare for the winner to travel to the International Fair.
- Sponsor a Special Category prize. This includes providing judges on the day of the Fair, providing the award, and sending someone to present the award at the Awards Ceremony. Awards are not limited to cash; the kids are also thrilled with something tangible like a calculator, computer, or camera. For a list of all the organizations that gave prizes last year, see the special category list.
- Donate your time. You could be a Main Category Judge, a Registration Angel, or a Valuable Somebody to help the Fair run smoothly.
Many companies and professional organizations sponsor Special Category prizes for the Alaska Science & Engineering Fair. Sponsoring a prize is a way of investing in the future workforce for our science, engineering, and mathematics fields. It encourages students’ interest in these areas, and gives them a chance to see – and be judged by – real people who work in these professions. If you are interested in sponsoring a new prize, please contact the Science Fair Committee for information.
