Information for Volunteers

There are many kinds of volunteers for the Alaska Science & Engineering Fair.

If you are interested in volunteering during the weekend of the science fair please register as a Non-Judge Volunteer on our hybrid fair platform: https://ak.zfairs.com/

Volunteers are needed for:

Hall Setup

• Friday April 5th
• First United Methodist Church in Anchorage (725 W 9th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501)
• Details
  • 2pm – 5pm
  • This will involve
    • Helping move tables
    • Setup project check-in area
    • Setup T-shirts table
    • Tape Project Info to Tables
    • Setup Judges Room
    • Setup Hospitality Area

Student Check-in

• Friday April 5th
• First United Methodist Church in Anchorage (725 W 9th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501)
• Details
  • 5pm – 8:30pm
  • This will involve
    • Checking in projects
    • Helping Students Register if Necessary
    • Handing out T-Shirts
    • Checking project materials for safety
    • Ushering students from the check-in area to their table
    • Handing out information sheets 

Hall Teardown

• Saturday April 6th
• First United Methodist Church in Anchorage (725 W 9th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501)
• Details
  • 4pm – 7pm
  • This will involve
    • Cleaning up Hospitatlity Area
    • Packing up Food
    • Packing up Judges Room
    • Gathering Left Behind Projects
    • Removing Signs, Tape & Project Markers from Tables
