Chugach Gem and Mineral Society, Inc. Awards:

The Chugach Gem and Mineral Society, Inc. (CGMS) sponsors awards for gem- and mineral-related science fair projects. Awards are based on the quality of the work and student’s knowledge, not on set numbers. For example, if there are three exceptional projects in the same age category, they may all win first place awards at the same time.

• First place awards: $200, a family membership to the CGMS, and a club T-shirt.
• Second place awards: $50, a family membership to the CGMS, and a club T-shirt.
• Third place awards: $25, a family membership to the CGMS, and a club T-shirt.
