Registration - Online
and In Person
There are two stages to
registration: Online registration and the in-person Registration Night.
1. Online Registration:
Online Registration is now closed.
Online registration is expected at least one week before the Science
Fair. By registering online, you tell us you are coming to the Fair,
and we can prepare your project number, certificate, and a place on
the table for you. Online registration will open about a month
before the Fair.
2. Registration Night: Registration Night is when you submit your paperwork, pay
the
entry fee, go through the safety check, set up your project, and
receive your Science Fair T-shirt. Senior High students must also
turn in their paperwork for their final Scientific Review, if needed.
Registration Night Date:
Friday, March 18, 2011.
Time:
5:00 -- 8:30 PM
Stop by any time during these hours.
Allow about an hour to complete the registration process, but please
be aware that this may take more or less time, depending on how busy
it is when you arrive.
Please do not arrive before 5:00PM.

Form required for EVERYBODY:
Every entrant
needs to bring a completed registration form to Registration Night on
March 18. If you registered online, you may have
printed this form. If you did not register online, if you
had trouble printing, if you lost your printed form, or if your dog
ate your form, just fill out a 2011 Registration Form
by hand and bring it with you to Registration Night. Blank forms
will also be available at Registration Night. Be sure to get it
signed!
Late registration is available on
March 19 only for those students who arrive in Anchorage too late
for regular registration. Teachers/chaperones are asked to inform
Texas Gail
Raymond if late registration is required.
Hint!
Prepare for your project's safety
check!
When you set up your
project at Registration, it must have a safety
inspection. You could prepare for this ahead of time.
These pages extracted from the Safety Inspector Training
slide show (1.3MB PDF) describe items that may not
be on your project display.
Remember, you're not going
to do your project on the spot at the Fair. You
do the project ahead of time, and at the Fair, you
describe what you did. Many of the items that are
banned from your display (such as glass tubing and
plants) are allowed to be used during your research, but
just take pictures of them for your
display. The judges care that you can express your
understanding of your project; they do not need you to
reproduce the work in front of them.
